Q: What are the visiting hours at Vista Knoll?
A: We encourage friends and family to visit their loved ones as much as possible. Therefore, we do not have any defined visiting hours. You may come visit your loved one as often as you'd like. However, we do encourage guests to visit prior to 8pm so as not to disturb our other residents.
Q: What is your Pet Policy? Are you able to bring in a pet to visit a loved one?
A: Yes! Pets are always welcomed at Vista Knoll. We're spread out over 20 acres, so there is plenty of room for pets to play. We just ask that you clean up after your pet and keep it on a leash or controlled as to not disturb our other residents.
Q: Does each patient have his or her own TV in the room?
A: Yes! Each bed comes equipped with a brand new, flat screen television complete with its own remote control and extended cable for your viewing pleasure.
Q: Do the patients have access to a phone?
A: Yes! Each bed come equipped with its own phone. Patients are able to accept incoming calls and call out whenever they like. Local calls only. A calling card will be required for long distance calls.
Q: What should Vista Knoll patients bring from home?
A: We want all of our patients to be as comfortable as possible. Therefore, we recommend bringing clothes from home that are comfortable to wear. Anything you'd like to bring from home to make your stay more comfortable is perfectly acceptable.
Q: Should you bring any medications from home?
A: No. We are in contact with the hospital and the patient's doctor. All the medications necessary will be relayed to us and ordered by us. It is not necessary to bring any medications from home.
Q: What is the meal situation? Can you bring food from outside the facility?
A: Our patients are served 3 full meals each day. Each meal is hand prepared in our own kitchen by our wonderful staff. Upon admission to Vista Knoll, each patient can meet with our Nutritional Services Director to go over specific diet requests. Patients have the option to either eat in their room, outside in our beautiful courtyard, or in one of our gorgeous dining rooms. Bringing in food from outside the facility is also perfectly acceptable provided that the patient's doctor has approved it.
Q: Do you offer Beauty Services?
A: Yes! Beauty services are offered to our residents every Tuesday. Each service is billed separately. A breakdown of the specific services offered and their correlating costs are as followed:
- Shampoo/Set: $17
- Shampoo/Blow dry: $17
- Shampoo (Only): $4
- Haircut (Men): $11
- Haircut (Women): $12
- Conditioner: $3
- Permanent Wave: $55
- Color Rinse (Temporary): $3
- Tint with Set: $40
- In-Room Service for Bedridden: $5
Q: How often will a patient receive therapy?
A: Each patient will be evaluated for therapy the day after his or her admission to Vista Knoll by our wonderful team of therapists. Upon evaluation, he or she will be placed on a program that entails receiving therapy an average of 5-6 times per week (depending on insurance).
