Neurological Behavior Care
One of the many things that further helps distinguish Vista Knoll Specialized Care from our competitors is our Neurological Behavior Care Unit (NBU). This is a 30-Bed locked unit separate from our rehab facilities that caters specifically to patients suffering from unique psychiatric diagnosis and head trauma.
Features of our Neurological Behavior Care (NBU) include the following:
- Locked Unit for the safety of all our residents
- Psychiatrist and Psychologist on staff
- Assess, diagnose and treat basic medical conditions for our residents
- Provide numerous hands-on activities to help stimulate our residents and keep them engaged
- Social Services Designee available to residents and family
- Provide behavioral management programs
- Assist residents to understand life skills
Neurologically impaired patients require a special skill set and a unique talent to assist in their daily lives. We are very proud to offer an outstanding and compassionate clinical staff that is specifically trained and uniquely qualified to handle patients with these special needs.
